• The types of nouns.
• The types of sentences.

In this unit, I found challenging… Everything, because I was just learning

Something new I learnt was… Everything, because I need to learn everything for the future

Student Council

Today I had Student Council in room 14. When I found that we had student council I had to go straight to the hall foray. When Mrs Trotter came to the hall foray, she told us that we had to be in Room 14 which is now the music room. When jack w was told to go and tell Mr M that we were coming to talk with the Nice Lady 

When we finally got to Room 14 I went in to get a chair to sit down. When we found out that this lady was coming in to talk to us about education which I thought it would be interesting. When Mrs Trotter came in with the lady she left and the Nice lady sat down and got her self ready for to talk to us at some point. When she finally got her self ready she told us to stand up to play a quick game which we play. When we finished the game we sat back down to answer some questions about education. 

One of the things that we did was talk about what if we would have a new school around our neighborhood. The lady had given us some paper to right some ideas for a new school to look like and I had put lots of ideas down of what a future school should look like. 

The learner qualities that I showed was listening to the Nice Lady that was specking.

The leadership that I showed was to turn up to Student Council.

Technology 

Today we had technology. When I got to technology I went straight to the textiles with Monique. Once we put our bags away, we got a pen, then we went straight into the Design class to play a game of Kahoot. When I signed I went and sat down next to my friends ready for the teachers to start. The teachers told us to get into groups of  2, so Sam L and I went together and Monique and Sam W went together. Sam L and I came second with the Kahoot game of the Values, after the game finish group A (which is my group) went next door to do sewing.

Once Mrs Patterson talked to us about how to thread our machine and asked if anybody new, so I put up my hand up, because I remember from last year, so I had to help everybody out on my side, and Mrs Patterson her's on her side. Once everybody got there machines threaded we went onto our test about how to do, a Straight line, a square and a line of Zigzag on the side. I passed so I got to make something else, but it was time to go back to school. 

The learner qualities that I showed was always listening to the teachers 

The leadership that I showed was turning up on time in the morning's.

Being a good house leader 

Today we had a school full assembly. When I walked in I had to go straight up to the front, but there was no chairs, so Samara, Me and Jack M got a set of chairs for the front, because the boys forgot to get the front ones out. Once we got the chairs, we sat down ready for the head students to start the assembly.

The first thing that we started off with was our school Waiata, once we sang that we went onto the Certificates and the year 7/8 badges. We started off with the Principal's awards. After that we went onto the year 7/8 badges. The people that got the badges were Alex M for a Merit badge, Charlotte L with a Excellence badge and Me with a Excellence badge. Then we went onto the bucket filler's.

After the assembly finished the year 7/8's we let to go and I walked out as quietly as I could be while being a good role model.

The learner quality that I showed was being a good role model at the front of the stage 

The leadership that I showed was clapping at the appropriate time

Today at the end of the day Mr Ladbrook took the House captiains, Heads, Deptys and Emma hill for a small meeting. Why Mr ladbrook tooks  us away was for the quiz night coming up and so Mr Ladbrook was wanting to know who wanted to go around the westfelid mall, to find things that we could have to give away as prices in the quiz night. 

Mr Ladbrook had to do a pull it out of hat draw, but on his laptop and it is where he wrote our names in and then he spun it and the first three people didn't get to go. The first person to be out was Jack M, then the second person was Samara then the last person was Me!!!
I was really sad that I didn't get to go, but I would get other chances to go to different thing. 

The learner quality that I showed was coming to the meeting. 

The leadership that I showed was by being a good role model.

Technology 

Today we had Technology. When we got to Lincoln we have to go to our class once we get off the bus. Today was the first day of doing a different which was sewing , but some people call it textile. 

Mrs Paterson told us to grab a pencil, pen or just bring your whole pencil case, so I just grabbed a pen, because it was in my pocket and we didn't need anything else. The first thing that we did was to find some where to work was which sewing machine we were going to be working at. 

The next thing we did was Mrs Paterson want to find out what our names were and she need to get a photo for the roll. Mrs Paterson didn't get my photo, but she does know my name now. 

At the end of the day we went next door to play the game Kahoot with the design group. Mrs Scott told us to get into groups of 3-4, so I went with Sam L, Charlotte and Maddy. The game was okay we can 4th out of 13 teams.

The learner quality that I showed was being quite when the teachers were speaking.  

The leadership that I showed was was turning up, not late after morning tea.

Student Council 

On Wednesday I didn't have a student council meeting, because of the mini Olympic, but what we have been talking about the whole time was things that could be changed in the school for example the school name, what the school could look like in 20 years, like the classroom, the playgrounds and other things. 

One of the things we talked about last week was what if we changed the school name for example the Oak tree had actually come from Canada so what if we changed it to something native to New Zealand or that is for school, we had someone say Kāuri or Kākano school which would be different, but the Kāuir tree is native to New Zealand and the Kiwi is native to NZ.

The leadership that I showed was aways contributing to group discussion.
