At technology I had a fun day, because I made a really cool pillow and I also made a weatbag. The wheat bag was made out of blue and white fabric, one side was blue and the other was white. I had a lovely time making the wheat bag and the pillow at technology, which I'm now using at home.

Koru Games

On Tuesday and Wednesday I showed leadership values by being the team captain for the A Team Touch Rugby at the Koru Games. Sophie wasn’t playing for those two days, so Mr Ladbrook asked me to do it. I had to lead all the cheering and see the referee before the game to play paper scissors rock. If I won paper scissors rock, I got to have the ball to start first and chose which end we wanted. At the end of the game I had to check and sign the score card. I really enjoyed being team captain :-)

Kapa Haka (Excellence Badge)

Today at Kapa Haka, we actually sang the songs properly with the poi and actions. We had practiced with the poi and I finally felt that I’d got it right. It’s a hard song, especially with the poi. I hope next week that I will get all the actions right and don’t mess up.

There are about 65 students in the choir group and we always practice in the music room. Today we sang Adiemus. One day last week, Miss Harris sent out a music video by email, so that we could watch it and practice from it. We also sang Long White Sails, Here comes the Sun and Slice of Heaven.

I decided to go to the library on Monday, because I wanted to finish off what I was doing on Friday. I knew I wouldn’t be able to go in on any other day this week because of Koru Games. Hopefully next week I’ll go back to doing librarian on Thursday.

Koru Game Reflection

Koru Games 

Over the last 3 days, 
I really enjoyed playing different teams and then we would help them on what they are good at and what they can work on.

The things that I had improved on was passing to my team mates and taking the touch so we could get more closer to to the goal line.

Overall I found the Koru Games fun because you could enjoy the outside and to learn a new sport.

Technology 

On Tuesday The year 7/8's went to Lincoln to do Technology. The group I am in is sewing. We are doing a three part toy, I'm really excited for how it is going to turn out. I am making an Owl, it has three different fabrics, which is why it is called a three part toy.

Once I'd put my bag away, I checked my SDL to make sure that I hadn't missed anything. That was all good, so I got my Song Book and went straight to choir practice. I like singing in the morning, it's a good way to start the day.
